Two of our chicks hatched!! And because of how loud their peeping and chirping are, we all thought that Peep and Chirp were the most appropriate names. The students loved getting to see this life cycle in action. Yesterday our students observed the eggs 3-4 times while the eggs were hatching. I was able to catch some of Chirp's birth on video. The teachers have been just as excited about the baby chicks as the students! (So please excuse our crazy commentary on the video.) Today all the students were able to pet Peep as we observed him in our classroom. Enjoy all the pictures and be sure to ask your child about it!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Monk
So excited to be able to teach such a cool lesson!!!
This blog will take you inside my fourth grade classroom. We have lots of adventures that are too precious not to share. I love to teach and truly feel blessed to be in such a wonderful profession. My heart of teaching can be summed up by this quote: "In order to capture a student's mind, you must first capture their heart."
