This year is the first year that first graders have been able to observe the baby chick's life cycle. This week, we watched a video of chickens laying their eggs. The farm that is featured on the video is the actual place where we received our eggs from. And once the eggs hatch, it is where we will take the baby chicks back to. Feel free to watch the video, so you can get a better understanding of what the kids are seeing in our classroom. There is one incubator with four eggs in Mrs. Benne's classroom. We will go in her room daily to observe the progress of the eggs. It should take about 21 days for the eggs to hatch. I will be sure to post once they do. The students are really excited about seeing this life cycle. Be sure to ask them about it!
Update on Bob: He has grown two legs. He is still considered a tadpole with legs right now. Once he graduates to the froglet statge, I will post more pictures!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Monk
