Little Readers

Every day in school, I want to make sure I am developing a strong love for reading in each of the kids.  We have a time set aside every day where students can practice their reading and nourish that love for reading.  We read to ourselves daily for about 30 minutes.  You might be thinking... 30 minutes?  Really?  But yes ... every child in this class can already do it!  They have practiced and built up stamina to reach this goal.  They are proud of their reading stamina and look forward to showing it off it every day.  They read books from their book boxes (books chosen from classroom library) and will respond to the lesson that is taught in our reader's workshop lesson during this time.  Here is a sneak peak of what your child does every day.
