I choose Character!

Today we had a great lesson on how to choose character in our everyday lives.  We learned about how Abraham Lincoln got his nickname "Honest Abe."  Abe went to buy something at the store and when the cashier lady gave him his change back, she gave him too much money.  He choose character by being honest and giving the lady the extra money back.  The students loved this story.  We even had a student give a specific example of how he had seen his dad do the same thing one time at the store.  Wow! That reminded me very quickly of 2 things - 1. Those little precious eyes are ALWAYS watching and 2. You guys are such wonderful parents and examples to your kids.  Thanks for already instilling great values in them and being examples of how to always choose character.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Monk
