4th Day in 4th Grade

We are having a blast learning together! I just had to stop for a quick second and take a picture once I realized it was their 4th day in 4th grade!  How fun! Thanks for sharing your precious kids with me every day.  They are an absolute joy!

Love of Reading

For the last couple of days, we have been discussing purposes of why we read.  We came up with several great reasons. Be sure to check out our anchor chart below to see some of the reasons we came up with.  When students know their purpose of reading a book, it helps them focus while they read.  Normally during our reader's workshop time, I will give the students certain comprehension strategies to work on during their independent reading time.  Yesterday they got to read just for FUN and they absolutely loved it!  Take a sneak peak at them . . .
