First Day Jitters

We had such a wonderful first day in first grade!  Every student seemed to adjust really well to their new class and made lots of new friends. I definitely feel blessed to be these precious kiddos teacher.  After reading First Day Jitters today, we each got to write about how we felt this morning before we came to school.  You will get to see each of the kids with their first day picture and you can peek in on them writing.

Getting Excited

Today I am looking forward to meeting all of the new faces of Mrs. Monk's Monkeys.  In just a few short hours my classroom will be full of bright new faces, some full of excitement and some a little more nervous than others.  I have been thinking about and pondering on what each of the kids will be like all summer long.  I have also been thinking of new ways to teach, creative things to add to my class, and inventive ways to keep my students excited about learning all year. I am excited to be apart of these kids' 1st grade journey.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year and can't wait to "Meet the Students" tonight!
